Rob Zombie Unveils Awesome Comic Book Art for "Tyrannosaurus Rex"

Tyrannosaurus Rex - Header

First he revealed the teaser poster. Then he revealed some concept art. Now Rob Zombie reveals... a comic book cover?

Yes, it would appear so.

Listed under the MySpace page for his upcoming film Tyrannosaurus Rex, the picture reads, "the comic that started it all." Upon reading this, one might assume this means the movie is inspired off a pre-existing comic book, which apparently, is indeed the case. But the comic in question is actually The Nail, which Zombie collaborated on with 30 Days of Night's Steve Niles.

After searching for this comic, however, the only information on it appears to be that the art was done by David Hartman. So either this is just a piece of incredibly cool-looking vintage pulp art meant to help promote the film, or there's going to be some badass comic book tie-ins up ahead.

Either way, it looks awesome.

Also, based on this latest reveal, we now have another piece of information to add to the film's rumored storyline. Not only does the film deal with a wrestler on the run from a biker gang from hell, but apparently there are also dinosaurs made of fire in it. Of course, it's very possible (if not likely) that those were created solely for this comic book cover, but fuck it, why kill the dream?
