Somehow I'm not surprised that the Coen's are going back to their well-honed comedy style after the dark and weighty No Country for Old Men. And levity is certainly in order for the Coens, after bringing Anton Chigur to the big screen. The first trailer for the next Futurama DVD film, The Beast with a Billion Backs, hit the web this week, and as expected it does a decent job of drumming up excitement for the film's release next month. There aren't any great standout gags in this trailer, but at least we finally get to see a bit of David Cross's titular Beast.
Leela gets the best line of the trailer: "Those aren't tentacles, they're genticles!"

Arrested Development mastermind Mitch Hurwitz is returning to Fox with an animated adaptation of live-action Australian sitcom, Sit Down, Shut Up. As described by Variety, "[the show] revolves around the lives of seven staff members of a dysfunctional high school in a small northeastern fishing town." Hurwitz will be exec producing and writing for the series. Read more
It's sort of shocking how consistently great Pixar can be. Sure, Cars was a bit of a misstep, but it was still better than most of the animated films that come out of Dreamworks and other competitors. And luckily for Wall-E, it doesn't look like it will take much for Pixar to make you fall in love with their new robotic creation. Read more
At this point, I believe we can truly say that Judd Apatow can do no wrong. After the unfortunate ratings failures of his excellent TV series', Freaks and Geeks and Undeclared, he proceeded to reinvigorate the R-rated comedy flick with The 40 Year Old Virgin, and Knocked Up. Read more
